Alex received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at North Carolina Central University. Alex has a passion for working with young children and has a particular interest in early intervention for treatment of language delays and articulation/phonology disorders.
Alex’s clinical experience consists of evaluating and treating children of all ages with various diagnoses including receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, AAC, fluency disorders, Down Syndrome, and traumatic brain injury. She has provided diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to children of all ages in a variety of settings including daycares, homes, preschools, and clinics.
Alex is currently licensed by N.C. Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and has her national certification from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Alex currently lives in Raleigh with her fiancé and dog. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, and spending time outdoors!
