Ashley graduated with her Occupational Therapy Assistant Degree from Cape Fear Community College. She completed the program with honors and served as class president.
Throughout college, Ashley gained much knowledge by working with individuals of all ages and abilities. Ashley has learned the importance of using a family centered approach to create the best environment for the child’s development and overall wellbeing. Ashley was a teacher assistant for 4 years and has experience assisting and leading children in developmental activities in a preschool setting. She also has been a volunteer at the Autism and Down Syndrome Society in Raleigh for 6+ years. During her volunteer time, she has served and helped children living with behavioral conditions, autism, genetic conditions and developmental delays. Throughout all her experiences, Ashley understands that each family and child is unique and wonderful in their own way and has learned to support children in the best way they know—through prioritizing play in an environment that is best for them. Ashley is excited to use her creativity, her knowledge and her experience to better serve children and their families.
