Kristin completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology. She received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from East Carolina University in December of 2021. Kristin has always enjoyed working with kids and has three years of clinical experience working with children in the outpatient pediatric setting. She has experience working with children ages birth to 21 with a variety of diagnoses, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Sensory Processing Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Delay. As an occupational therapist, Kristin loves to see her clients learn new skills and increase their confidence in their play and self-care abilities. During her professional career, Kristin has taken continuing education courses related to sensory processing differences, evaluation and treatment of food selectivity, and neuro-rehabilitative techniques, such as Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT). Kristin’s passion for the pediatric population has also motivated her to participate in various volunteer activities over the years. Kristin has volunteered with organizations including Victory Junction, UNC Children’s, and Gigi’s Playhouse. In her free time, Kristin enjoys being outside, traveling, playing piano, spending time with loved ones, and hiking with her dog.
