Lauryn is a New York state native and recently relocated with her family to North Carolina! Having graduated from The College of Saint Rose (Albany, NY) with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Lauryn immediately set out into the world of pediatric speech and language services. Lauryn loves to work and support children and their families/caregivers through a whole-child lens. Lauryn strives to develop rapport with students and their caregivers in order to facilitate a child’s greatest success.
Professional experience includes working with children and students presenting with speech sound disorders (including articulation difficulties) and fluency (e.g., stuttering) disorders, language disorders, including receptive/expressive language and social and pragmatic skill development. Lauryn has had experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as Down Syndrome.
Lauryn’s favorite thing about being an SLP is seeing the growth of students/children and their caregivers alike. Communication can be fostered in so many ways, and the joy that comes from working collaboratively to help others express their wants/needs in ways that they hadn’t before been able to, is immeasurable.
With free time, Lauryn most enjoys being with her family. Lauryn is grateful and looking forward to working alongside you, towards your child’s success.
