Zoe Nelson

Zoe was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She attended SUNY Fredonia where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders, before continuing her education, earning her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of New Hampshire. She also spent her time in graduate school as a graduate assistant conducting research and specializing in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

After earning her masters, Zoe moved to North Carolina with her two dogs and fiancé to complete her clinical fellowship year. During her time in NC, she has been working with children and adults in different environments including a private practice, outpatient hospital, and acute hospital. Zoe is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of adults and children with a variety of speech, language, and cognitive difficulties. Zoe has a true passion for AAC and applying evidence based practice to each and every patient to ensure the most successful therapy outcome.

Zoe is currently licensed by the N.C. Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and has earned her national certification from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
